Emergency prevention exercises were held at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the Kuzbass Fuel Company
At the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the Kuzbass Fuel Company, the Paramilitary Mine Rescue Team trained to prevent and practice actions in case of emergencies on the territory of the enterprise.
According to the scenario, the exercises involved practicing actions in the event of a fire in the engine compartment of the Komatsu PC-750 № 2 excavator.
A squad of mine rescuers, including command staff, was sent to the site of the alleged accident. During the exercises, special equipment was used - a vehicle for delivering VGSCh departments and a fire truck.
During the exercise, the theoretical knowledge of the training participants, the efficiency and consistency of actions of shift supervisors, excavator drivers and enterprise workers - members of the auxiliary mine rescue team (AMC), and their team interaction were assessed. Also during the training, the operation of a fire truck with a fire monitor, controlled remotely from the driver’s cab, was demonstrated.
– Thanks to such training, the staff’s ability to respond quickly and clearly transmit information in an emergency situation is tested. Today, the exercises were successful - the excavator driver demonstrated the correct use of personal protective equipment and a fire extinguisher, members of the Supreme Command promptly checked respirators before use, and a paramedic at the health center spoke about the possible rules for providing first aid to victims, – commented the Deputy Technical Director for Industrial Safety of Kuzbass Fuel Company Alexey Zelenin.
