Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company supplies coal to public utilities both in the Kemerovo region and in the other regions of the country. Coal quality and prompt delivery are of vital importance to us.
Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company is one of the core coal suppliers to public utilities and retail customers of Western Siberia. The Company’s own distribution network in the Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Altay regions provides access to the traditional and stable coal market.
With the established distribution network, КТК timely supplies high-quality coal to public utilities, domestic households and foreign customers.
The Company’s thermal coal sales structure diversified across domestic and international markets is an important competitive advantage.A significant share of export sales is an effective balancing factor and source of stability for the Company’s business model in the current challenging economic environment. This was evidenced by the Company’s performance in 2009, when, on the back of poor performance of most coalmining companies, KTK managed to achieve even better results compared to the previous years.
Currently, the Company’s coal is transported by railroad. Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company has an advantageous geographic location at the Karakansky stone-coal deposit and effectively controls the railroad infrastructure and transport flows to the Russian Railways’ long-distance station Meret. All the three open-pit mines have access to the railroad network, where coal is transported by open box cars.
KTK owns 100% in the Meret Freight Forwarding Company delivering coal from the open-pits of the Karakansky stone-coal deposit to the long-distance railroad station Meret.
