Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company was founded in 2000 at the initiative of the local governments of the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions. The Company’s goal was to assure a stable supply of coal to local population and public utilities in these regions.

2018
In 2018 the Company produced 15.7 mln tons of thermal coal Production facilities of Kaskad Washing Plant were upgraded, the plant reached design capacity of 2.8. MTA, after the second stage of the upgrade the plant will reach design capacity of 3 MTA. Production facilities of Kaskad2 Washing Plant had been upgraded in 2 sections following which the plant reached design capacity of 4.5. MTA; after the 1st section has been upgraded the plant will reach design capacity of 5 MTA. In 2018 the Company completed the project for commissioning of Listvyanichny open-pit mine; the project passed the review by General Board of State Expert Review and will be put into operation in 2019. In 2018 LLC TEK Meret fulfilled a coal transportation plan in the volume of 15.8 mln tons, 12.5 mln tons of which comprised thermal coal loaded from Vinogradovsky open-pit mine. In 2018 the maximum daily wagon loading of the Company comprised 662 wagons per day or 50 869.450 tons of coal. In 2018 as part of joint heavy haul technology with OJSC Russian Railways LLC TEK Meret formed and forwarded 597 heavy trains weighing 8000 gross tons. The maximum number of forwarded heavy trains was recorded in October 2018 and comprised 66 trains. On 26 December 2018 the railway track Dunaevskaya Station – Karakan station (1st stage) sidetrack was put into operation. The construction of the railroad section took from March to November 2018. Around 340 mln RUR had been invested in this project. Every year PJSC KTK increases coal production and new railways will contribute to the increasing volume of coal export. In 2019 the Company is planning to complete the 2nd stage of construction of the railway section Karakan station – Fadeevskaya station.
2017
In 2017 the Company produced 13.2 mln tons of thermal coal In 2017 PJSC KTK entered new markets of Western Europe through the Port of Vysotsk; the Company is also engaged in the expansion of the Eastward direction through the other ports. On 11 March 2017 Meret Station set up a record of loading by loading 1317 freight wagons per day, 596 of which were loaded by Vinogradovsky open-pit mine. In 2017 PJSC KTK showed maximum daily wagon loading on 3 March, which comprised 617 wagons per day or 44 393 tons of coal. In 2017 as part of joint heavy haul technology with OJSC Russian Railways LLC TEK Meret formed and forwarded 412 heavy trains weighing 8000 gross tons. The maximum number of forwarded heavy trains was recorded in April 2017 and comprised 48 trains
2016
В 2016 году добыча угля составила 11,7 млн тонн энергетического угля. Разрез «Листвяничный» планируют ввести в эксплуатацию в 2018 году. В первом квартале 2016 года ПАО «КТК» начала продажи через ЕВРАЗ Находкинский торговый порт. Успешно начала работу дочерняя структура КТК - «KTK Overseas». В декабре 2016 года была создана дочерняя структура ООО «Кузбасская Энерокомпания». В рамках 12 горнопромышленного форума МАЙНЕКС Россия-2016 ПАО «Кузбасская Топливная Компания» стала победителем конкурса «Российская горная награда» в номинации «Социально ответственная компания года».
2015
In spring 2014 a Crushing and grading plant for production of crushed stone was put into operation. Construction of Crushing and grading plant enabled to enhance wear resistance of BelAZ tyres. Equipment at enrichment plant Kaskad-1 was updated, where was introduced a new technology of washing fine size coal in dense media. The Company’s distribution network is developing in a sustainable manner. In 2014 the Company opened 30 new points of sales in Altay region and 9 warehouses in Poland. On June 25 Meret Station, Russian Railways set up a record of loading by loading 1069 freight wagons, 542 of which were loaded by the Vinogradovsky open pit-mine per day. In August 2014 additional receiving and departure tracks were also put into operation from the station of the Vinogradovsky open pit-mine, which were electrically interlocked with the station.
2014

2013
In 2013 the Company produced 10.15 mln tons of coal. In February 2013 the Company completed construction of enrichment plant Kaskad-2 at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine with a planned capacity of 4.0 mln tons per annum. The volume of coal sold for repurchase rose 17% up to 1.78 mln tons due to increased seasonal demands of retail network. The volume of coal sales rose 4% against 2012 figures and comprised 10.61 mln tons. The volume of export rose 17% and comprised 6.94 mln tons which corresponds to 65% of total sales. Within the framework of reduction of expenses the Company has withdrawn from membership of associated company – LLC Kuzbaskaya Transportnaya Company; the cost of transportation services is determined on the basis of current market prices.
2012
In 2012 the Company produced 8.71 mln tons of thermal coal. According to the data of Metal Expert Journal the Company has become the sixth largest producer of thermal coal in Russia. For establishing positions at the Polish export market the Company established a subsidiary -KTKPolskas.p.o.o. The Company added new 9 retail coal storage facilities in Altay region. General size of retail network in Siberian Federal District amounted to 76 points of sales for thermal coal. Fleet of freight wagons of LLC Kuzbaskaya Transportnaya Company was increased by 210 freight wagons and comprises 3 128 freight wagons. The Company completed construction of overhead system for 6 tracks for Russian Railways electric locomotives at Uba classification yard. The volumes of coal loading rose to 700 freight wagons per day and the station capacity rose to 16.7 mln tons.
2011

At the "Vinogradovsky" open-pit mine a new treatment facility was put into operation and development commenced on a second enrichment plant which has a planned capacity of 3.6 mln tonnes per annum.

At the "Vinogradovsky" open-pit mine an “in-ground” coal storage facility with a capacity of 500 thousand tonnes per annum was put into operation.

In 2011 the second stage of OJSC "Russian Railway" technical specifications on the development of private rights of way by LLC Freight Forwarding Company “Meret” were fully met. The following developments were also implemented: seven new receiving-departure lines, the second construction stage of the overhead contact system, an administrative office building, a freight wagon inspection station, a treatment facility, and also the reconstruction of the Uba central electrical station to increase potential coal loading volumes to 700 cars a day. In 2011 LLC Freight Forwarding Company “Meret” achieved record transportation volumes of 12.7 mln tonnes of coal.

2010

The first enrichment plant Kaskad with 2 mln. tonnes capacity is put into operation at Cheremshansky open-pit mine. The company constructs and opens the unique repair bay for heavy trucks.

In 2010 the subsidiaries of OJSC "Kuzbasstoplivosbyt" reached the maximum volume of coal sales, which composed 1,416 thousand tonnes.

In November 2010 the maximum volume of freight turnover of LLC “TEK Meret” was reached for the whole history of its existence, the volume composed 39.7 mln t/km. Also during that month the maximum volume of monthly coal shipping of OJSC "Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company” was reached, the volume composed 724 thousand tonnes.

2009
The Company starts construction of a new enrichment plant with a capacity of 2 mln tons per year.
2008
In May, the Company launches the Cheremshansky mine, which becomes the most productive open-pit mine commissioned in Kuzbass in the last 20 years. Novosibirsk Fuel Corporation is established with a network of 19 points of sale, located in all densely populated areas of the Novosibirsk region (sales volume of 1.2 mln tons per year). The railroad sidetrack of the Cheremshansky open-pit mine with a length of 10 km is commissioned.
2007
The Company completes exploration works and begins the construction of the Cheremshansky open-pit mine. Two operating open-pit mines, the Vinogradovsky and the Karakansky-South, produce 4.1 mln tons of coal. Аltay Fuel Company with 7 points of sale in the Altay region and sales capacity of 400 thousand tons per year is founded . In August 2007, the Company commissions a new modern coal-storage facility in Anzhero-Sudzhensk with a capacity of 200 thousand tons per year.
2006
The Company conducts exploration works at the Cheremshansky minefield. All three mines are integrated into one branch – the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine. The Vinogradovsky open-pit mine produces 1.6 mln tons and the Karakansky-South 2.6 mln tons. The Company acquires shares in 6 points of sale in the Novosibirsk region with sales capacity of 450 thousand tons per year. The railway track Pesterevo Station – Fadeyevsky sidetrack with a length of 15.4 km is opened, doubling coal transportation of producers in the central part of the Kemerovo region to 20 mln tons.
2005
The Company acquires a license to develop the Cheremshansky coal deposit. The Company also acquires licenses to develop Karakansky-South-2 and Vinogradovsky-2 sites, the cutbacks to the main mines. The coal output at the Vinogradovsky open-pit increases to 1.8 mln tons and at the Karakansky-South to 2.6 mln tons. The Company acquires Transugol, which owns a network of coal storage facilities (5 points of sale) that provides coal to 10 municipal institutions in the Omsk region (sales capacity of 200 thousand tons per year). The Company launches the second turbine generator at Kaskad-Energo.
2004
The Company begins the construction of the new open-pit mine Vinogradovsky in April and launches the mine in September. The coal output at the Vinogradovsky mine amounts to 400 thousand tons and at the Karakansky-South to 2.7 mln tons. Kuzbasstoplivosbyt is expanded to 24 points of sale with a turnover of 1.6 mln tons. The railroad sidetrack of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine with a length of 7.3 km is commissioned. Kaskad-Energo is reconstructed with the commissioning of a turbine generator.
2003
The Company acquires a license to develop the Vinogradovsky minefield in December. The coal output of Karakansky-South amounts to 2.4 mln tons. Kuzbasstoplivosbyt is established jointly with the local government of the Kemerovo region. New coal mining technologies are introduced, reducing the Company’s operating costs. State procurements of energy fuel become more transparent. Kaskad-Energo is established in cooperation with the local government of the Kemerovo region based on the central thermal power plant in the city of Anzhero-Sudzhensk.
2002
The Company completes the second stage of construction at the Karakansky-South mine, increasing its total capacity to 2.3 mln tons per year. The Company builds the first modern coal-storage facility for retail operations in Kemerovo with sales volume of 70 thousand tons.
2001
In the second half of the year the Karakansky-South mine reaches its design capacity of 2 mln tons per year. The output amounts to 1.3 mln tons. Total sales to the public utilities and the local population of the Kemerovo region amount to 3.2 mln tons. The railway sidetrack extended to Meret railway station from the Karakano-Uropsky deposit is launched. The Company commissions railway lines to the Karakansky-South mine, extending 10.5 km.
2000
The Company launches the Karakansky-South open-pit mine. A monthly coal output increases from 336 tons in January 2000 to 96.3 thousand tons in July. The output amounts to 0.37 mln tons for the whole year. The Company makes deliveries for the local government of the Kemerovo region. The sales volume from April (the Company’s foundation) to December amounts to 1.8 mln tons.
