The Kuzbass Fuel Company produced the 180 millionth ton of coal at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine
The 180 millionth ton of D-grade thermal thermal coal was mined in the Kemerovo region at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the Kuzbass Fuel Company. This result was achieved in just over 20 years of operation of the mine.
The anniversary ton of coal was mined on the Komatsu PC800 № 1 hydraulic excavator by a resident of the city of Belovo, Pavel Vasilievich Zotev.
The driver of the BelAZ mining dump truck, also from Belovsk, Stanislav Valentinovich Zabrotsky, received an order to remove the 180 millionth ton of coal.
Preparatory planning work for the face was carried out by the driver of Komatsu bulldozer № 16, a resident of the Belovsky district, Maxim Vitalievich Mikhailov.
– Every year, over 12 million tons of coal are mined at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine. This volume is equal to the energy of two nuclear power plants. Updating the equipment will make it possible in the future to increase production volumes to 15 million tons of coal per year. And this, I think, is quite achievable. Our coal is in demand. It is expected not only in Russia, but also abroad, from Sri Lanka to China and India, – noted Vladimir Korotin, General Director of the Kuzbass Fuel Company.
The main production asset of the Kuzbass Fuel Company is the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, which mines the reserves of the Karakanskoye coal deposit. The open-pit mine consists of 4 mountain areas with coal reserves of over 500 million tons.
A significant part of the extracted fuel is processed at 2 enrichment plants. CPC products, which have international certification, are shipped for the needs of large power generation and industrial consumers, and are exported. CPC is also the operator of a retail network in 4 regions of Western Siberia and supplies coal to more than 400 thousand households and more than 1 thousand municipal and commercial boiler houses.
