Kuzbass Fuel Company is expanding the capacity of non-public railway tracks

Kuzbass Fuel Company has completed work on expanding the non-public railway tracks at the Cascade railway station. Thanks to the reconstruction of the railway infrastructure, its capacity will double.

The railway tracks of the Cascade station were increased by 1.6 km. Thus, two additional exhibition tracks were built – 7.11 and two dead-end tracks – 14.16.

– Construction and installation work was completed in just four months – from July to October; in November the roads were accepted for permanent use. The expansion of the Cascade railway station will allow the formation of full-fledged trains of 70 cars, as well as significantly increase the volume of shipments from the station – from 3 to 5.5 million tons of coal per year, – comments Alexey Bekrenev, head of the department for capital construction, repair and operation buildings and structures of the Kuzbass Fuel Company.

The volume of investment in the project amounted to about 75 million rubles.

In addition to the Cascade railway station, Kuzbasskaya Fuel Company owns 7 railway stations. The total capacity of all CPC stations in 2021 was 738 cars per day. Moreover, over the past three years it has increased by 16% – from 632 to 738 cars per day.
