Two teams of miners from the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine won an interregional production competition

At the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of Kuzbass Fuel Company JSC, a ceremonial meeting was held to sum up the results of the interregional production competition among coal mining enterprises.
6 coal mines from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Khakassia, the Amur and Kemerovo regions took part in the competition. The Vinogradovsky open-pit mine represented Kuzbass in four out of six nominations:

• Hydraulic excavators with a bucket capacity from 5 to 15 m³ inclusive,
• Hydraulic excavators with a bucket capacity from 3 to 5 m³ inclusive,
• Hydraulic excavators with bucket capacity up to 3 m³,
• Walking excavators with a bucket capacity of up to 15 m³.
In all four groups, brigades from Kuzbass were among the top three. And in two categories, Kuzbass residents became unconditional winners.
“This year it was interesting to follow the developments at the competition. In the competition among excavators with a bucket capacity of up to 3 m³, Vladimir Korshunov’s team, working on a KOMATSU RS-411, competed for a year with another of our teams, KOMATSU RS-412, and an excavator from the Kirbinsky mine.
But in the category “Excavators with a capacity of 3 to 5 m³,” our team of Evgeniy Kucherenko, working on a KOMATSU PC-802, remained in the lead for almost the entire year. Fortunately, in the end, our guys took a well-deserved first place in both categories,” said Evgeniy Dmitriev, managing director and director of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of KTK JSC, at the meeting.
“Our teams at these competitions were represented in most nominations and worked honorably for the best result. Taking two first places in conditions of healthy competition is evidence of the high professionalism of our employees. I wish the winners and participants of the competition not to stop there. Continue to hone your skills, win, and most importantly, share your experience and teach the younger generation,” Andrey Fefelov, Deputy Director of the Vinogradovsky Mine, congratulated the winners.

KOMATSU PC-802 team member Evgeniy Kelba notes that there are no special secrets hidden behind the successful result: “We just worked with interest and pleasure, and everything worked out on its own. And any difficulties can be solved if the team tries to understand each other, shows patience and believes in the best. The ability to work in a team is a determining factor in effective work. If someone was unable to fulfill the plan on their shift, another member of the team will definitely try to compensate for this on theirs. This is how everything is set up for us and this is our 50% of good work.”
Let us note that Evgeniy has been working at the open-pit mine since 2008 and notes that during his many years of work experience he never planned to go to work for competitors or leave the profession.
Over the past year, Evgeniy Kelba’s team extracted about one and a half million cubic meters of rock mass.
Miner of the KOMATSU RS-411 team Denis Folin shares: “There was decent competition in our category, and we bypassed our main rivals - colleagues from crew No. 412 of our mine, partly due to a problem with their excavator. While they were undergoing repairs, we worked and thanks to this we pulled ahead.
In general, the work on the open-pit mine is interesting and each section has its own characteristics. There is room to grow professionally. It’s not just competitions that motivate us to work harder.”

Denis got a job at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine in 2006 and worked as a mechanic for several years. After training and practice at another company, in 2011 he became an excavator operator and still remains faithful to his chosen business. Denis also notes that the decisive factor in competitions is the team spirit in the team and a caring attitude to work.
The KOMATSU PC-411 team will account for about a million cubic meters of extracted rock mass in 2024.
As part of the ceremonial meeting, a festive concert was organized for the winners of the competition and other miners of the mine, also timed to coincide with Defender of the Fatherland Day.
