A celebration dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the formation of Transport and Forwarding Company TEK "Meret" - a subsidiary of JSC Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company - was held in the Inskoy Culture Center of the Belovsky urban district.
For two decades, Meret has been providing uninterrupted transportation by rail of power-generating coal mined at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, as well as other cargo to coal mining enterprises located in the Karakansko-Uropskoye coal deposit in Kuzbass.
The infrastructure of the TEC "Meret" includes 7 railway stations and sidings with an exit to the Meret station of the Russian Railways, the total length of railway tracks is more than 100 kilometers.
Over 20 years of operation, TEC "Meret" has shipped 216 million tons of coal to consumers. This is more than 3 million wagons. If all these wagons were put together into one train, its length would be more than 43 thousand kilometers and would literally allow us to go around our planet in a circle.
Today, production capacities allow loading and transportation of products of more than 20 million tons per year (770 wagons per day). To ensure this high level of productivity, the company employs about 400 people.
As part of the celebration, the company's management expressed words of gratitude to all employees for their conscientious work and successful results, and a concert program of creative groups from the municipality was organized.
For high performance and significant contribution to the company's development, about 60 employees received certificates of honor. Diplomas were also awarded to the children of the company's employees who won the drawing competition dedicated to the anniversary date.
