At the sports complex in the village of Sidorenkovo in the Belovsky municipal district, a Spartakiad was held among 9 teams of employees of various divisions and subsidiaries of JSC Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the company's foundation and Miner's Day.
The competition program included four sports disciplines: volleyball, football, tug of war and individual kettlebell lifting. Weather conditions rapidly changed from bright sun to wind and rain throughout the day, heating up the emotional background of the sporting event.
A serious struggle unfolded on the football field. As a result of dynamic matches, the team of the Transport and Expeditionary Company (TEK) "Meret" took first place. The athletes representing the "Gornoye uchastka" of the "Vinogradovsky" open-pit mine took second place. The third place went to the team of the "Uchastka pogruzka uchastka".
The volleyball matches ended with the victory of the team of the "Vinogradovsky open-pit mine management", the second place went to the representatives of the "Mountain section" team, and the third place went to the employees of the processing plants.
In the individual competition for lifting a 24-kilogram kettlebell, the winner was Kirill Kolosov, a representative of the TEK Meret team, who lifted the heavy projectile 59 times. Vyacheslav Zima from the Mining and Transport Directorates of Open Pit No. 1 and No. 2 team was only 3 lifts behind the leader and took 2nd place. Third place and 43 kettlebell lifts were taken by Sergey Say, representing the team of the Kemerovo office of JSC KTK.
In the tug-of-war, the strongest team was the "Mining and Transport Departments of Open Pit No. 1 and No. 2" team, the "concentrators" took second place, and the "Mining Section" specialists rounded out the top three.
In the overall standings, based on the results of all tests, the challenge cup of winners went to the team of "Mining and Transport Departments of Open Pit No. 1 and No. 2", the second place went to the specialists of the enrichment plants, and the third place was taken by the team of the Kemerovo office of JSC "KTK".
The winners received cups and diplomas of the corresponding degrees, as well as certificates for receiving prizes. Colleagues, relatives and friends came to cheer for the "coal miners".
In between fights, the participants of the competition could refresh themselves with hearty pastries and bitter drinks.
"Sporting events are great for bringing the team together and adding color to our workdays. I was very pleased to see the passion, skill and readiness for healthy competition among all participants. This Spartakiad became a real celebration of strength, health and good spirits. We would like to maintain this spirit for the entire working year. And next summer we will repeat this meeting, perhaps on a larger scale, restoring it as a good tradition,” noted Evgeny Dmitriev, Managing Director and Director of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of JSC KTK, at the awards ceremony.
