Heat suppliers. How forklift drivers from 4 regions of Western Siberia competed for the title of the best

The “Best Forklift Driver 2023” competition was held in the city of Barabinsk, Novosibirsk Region. It was attended by employees of sales enterprises of the Kuzbass Fuel Company from 4 regions. Thanks to their work, 300 thousand households in Western Siberia were heated with Kuzbass thermal coal in 2022.

The competition was attended by representatives of all sales retail enterprises of the Kuzbass Fuel Company in Western Siberia, and these are: Novosibirsk Fuel Corporation (owners of the competition site), Kuzbasstoplivosbyt, Altai Fuel Company and TransUgol from the Omsk region.

On the territory of the Barabinsky Gortop, spectators saw complex stunts performed on multi-ton equipment. Close a matchbox with a loader bucket, lift a bar with a bucket and place it on the “machine”, take a ball from a pedestal with a bucket and, using the “fork” device, throw it into the ring - not every operator of special equipment can cope with these tasks.

– The structure of the Kuzbass Fuel Company includes one of the largest coal mines in Kuzbass with an annual production capacity of 15 million tons of coal and reserves of half a billion tons of coal, as well as two modern enrichment plants and its own railway infrastructure. But sales enterprises occupy a special place in the company’s structure. The energy security of Western Siberia depends on their successful work, – said Evgeny Dmitriev, managing director of Kuzbass Fuel Company.

Coal from the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the Kuzbass Fuel Company, which mines the reserves of the Karakan deposit, is supplied to residents of the Novosibirsk, Omsk, Kemerovo regions and Altai Territory, as well as to housing and communal services structures and social enterprises in these regions.

– CPC’s retail sales network includes more than 60 warehouses that supply fuel to residents of more than 100 districts and districts of Kuzbass, Novosibirsk Region, Omsk Region and Altai Territory. All these enterprises have been capturing significant market share for many years. Most of them have crossed the threshold of their 20th anniversary, – explained Vladimir Kil, executive director of Kuzbass Fuel Company.

In 2022, about 2 million tons of Kuzbass coal were supplied to retail consumers in Western Siberia. In the 1st quarter of 2023, they shipped 384 thousand tons of fuel.

We would like to add that the winners and runners-up of the “Best Forklift Driver 2023” competition were awarded commemorative cups and cash prizes. Special awards were given to honorary mentors whose work experience in the industry has been more than ten years.
