As part of a routine inspection of the Belovsky Municipal District's readiness for civil defense measures, EMERCOM specialists inspected the unscheduled emergency rescue teams at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine.
Rescuers assessed the equipment and emergency preparedness of the auxiliary mine rescue team, volunteer fire brigade, and first aid station.
"Our volunteer emergency rescue teams are organized and operate in accordance with all current regulations and legal requirements. The specialists on these teams have undergone specialized training and hold volunteer rescuer certificates. In addition, they constantly practice practical skills in providing assistance to colleagues in extreme situations during training sessions and tactical exercises. This, along with comprehensive organizational work to ensure industrial safety, allowed us to demonstrate to experts from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations the mine's high level of preparedness to respond to natural and man-made emergencies and accidents," said Vyacheslav Deryabin, Head of the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Mobilization Department at JSC KTK.
