On the eve of the new heating season, JSC Kuzbass Fuel Company for the first time delivered coal from the Vinogradovsky mine under the northern delivery program to the city of Okhotsk. According to the terms of the contract, the company shipped more than 5 thousand tons of D-grade coal to hard-to-reach areas of the Far East.
Transportation of the main energy carrier to the remote city of Okhotsk is carried out by rail, river barges and sea vessels. The navigation period to the end user was 3 months.
The shipped coal is intended to provide heat and electricity to three thousand residents of the city of Okhotsk in winter.
"The delivery of coal was carried out in a strictly set time. In the city of Okhotsk, the "northern delivery" of fuel is carried out only during the summer navigation period, which runs from May to July. Thus, the first batch of coal arrived in May, and in July it reached the final consumer – JSC Teploenergoservice, which provides heat and electricity to three thousand residents of this region. In navigation-2023, it is planned to increase the delivery of coal under the northern delivery program at least twice," the company explained.
