Russian Chess Tournament was held from 30 April to 10 May in Sochi.
KTK-Kuzbass team won the third place among youth teams born in 2004 or earlier (including club teams) and among youth teams born in 2008 and earlier (including club teams).
PJSC Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company together with the Department of Youth Policy and Sport of the Kemerovo Region Administration has been lending support to the KTK-Kuzbass team for years.
The team has been taking part in competitions for several years but last year the boys managed to take the fifth place only. The expertise of young players is developing from year to year, which has been noted by the judges and the inspectors of the championship.
Highly professional trainers both from Kuzbass and Moscow work with the boys.
