JSC Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company continues to restore natural resources of Siberia by stocking rivers with fish

As part of comprehensive measures to restore the natural diversity of Siberia and compensate for the damage caused by coal mining and coal processing, Kuzbass Fuel Company JSC carried out measures to stock the Tom River with fish in 2025.

The release of more than 3,700 nelma fry was carried out jointly with Tomsk Fish Breeding Complex LLC in the city of Seversk, Tomsk Region, at the company's expense.
As in the previous year, representatives of the Verkhneobsky territorial administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries were present at the launch of the fry.
In total, over the past 7 years (from 2019 to 2025), the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company JSC, released more than 26,000 young nelma with a total weight of about 75 kilograms into the Tom River to restore water resources.
Let us recall that the nelma, or whitefish, is listed in the Red Book of Kuzbass and is a fish species with a steadily declining population. The nelma is the largest representative of the whitefish. Under favorable conditions, this fish species reaches a length of more than a meter.
