The auxiliary mine rescue team of the Vinogradovsky open pit mine was among the top three winners in the regional competition of non-staff emergency rescue teams

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass summed up the results of the regional review-competition of non-staff emergency rescue teams. In the category of auxiliary mine rescue teams (VGK), the rescue team of the Vinogradovsky open pit took 3rd place.

The competition's working committee assessed the material and technical equipment of the non-staff rescue units, the availability of all necessary regulatory and organizational documentation, the availability of certificates for all team members entitling them to carry out rescue operations in various emergency situations, as well as the participation of the mine's VGK in civil defense and emergency response exercises and training.
The experts of the competition working commission noted that the work of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine is organized at a decent level and allows for the provision of first aid to victims at the initial stages of an emergency, minimization of the negative consequences of various incidents and provision of high-quality assistance to professional emergency rescue teams.

It should be noted that VGK was created at the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine in 2020. Today, it includes more than 30 active employees of the mine, engaged in the main production. Each of them has been trained in a specialized educational institution and certified for the right to conduct emergency rescue operations before the arrival of professional rescuers by the facility certification commission of the Russian Emergencies Ministry at the Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Mine Rescue Center". The certification is valid for three years.

VGK specialists regularly take part in facility training to practice actions to rescue people in various emergency situations. They also attend classes on the theory of rescue operations and practical classes on the rules for using personal protective equipment, radiation and chemical reconnaissance and control equipment, the rules for handling various emergency rescue tools, and much more.
