Miners of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine, a branch of Kuzbass Fuel Company JSC, took part in a gala reception dedicated to Spring and Labor Day, which was held in the administration of the Kuzbass government.
Governor Ilya Seredyuk noted that Spring and Labor Day has always been associated with people who, with their own hands, create the economic potential of the country and the well-being of their small homeland. “Kuzbass is a region of workers and modern generations of Kuzbass residents continue the worthy traditions of their fathers and grandfathers,” the governor noted and presented federal awards to representatives of the region’s enterprises.
Among those awarded were two BelAZ drivers of the Vinogradovsky mine, Nikolai Gavshin and Vladimir Mastikhin.
Nikolay Gavshin has been working in the coal industry for more than 30 years, and 14 of them at Vinogradovsky. Colleagues note that Nikolay, being an experienced specialist, is well versed in heavy-duty vehicles and, thanks to his hard work, has been providing decent production results for his team for many years. Now Nikolay heads the BelAZ 7555E brigade, which consistently shows a high level of cargo transportation volumes of rock mass. Being a good professional, Nikolai became a mentor for many young BelAZ drivers.
As part of the festive celebration, he was awarded the gold “Miner’s Valor” badge. Previously, the miner had already been awarded such a silver badge, as well as company certificates.
Another BelAZist, Vladimir Mastikhin, devoted all 19 years of his professional career to the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine. Constantly improving in his work, he is well versed in the operating features of dump trucks involved in mining operations.
“I believe that the BelAZ itself is easy to drive, but requires a lot of attention to maintenance. We do some of the repairs ourselves, and this makes us pay more attention to the car during the work process. Our team treats the dump truck with the utmost care, as if it were our own,” says Vladimir.
Vladimir Mastikhin was awarded the silver badge “Miner’s Valor”.
