Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company continues to implement a range of environmental measures

Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company held an annual event to restore biological resources in water bodies. About four thousand nelma fry were released into the Tom River in the Ob basin.
 

To restore water resources, the Vinogradovsky mine of the Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company released about 19 thousand juvenile nelma into the Tom River from 2020 to 2023, with a total weight of over 55 kilograms. Specialists from the Verkhneob Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fisheries and the Tomsk Research and Production Fish Hatchery Complex monitored compliance with fish stocking technology in order to create favorable conditions for the adaptation and growth of fish.

This is one of a set of environmental measures systematically carried out by the company to preserve biological aquatic diversity. In addition to stocking with fish, as part of measures to protect water bodies, regular observations of water bodies and morphometric features of the Elovka and Malaya Elovka rivers and the Ershovsky Log stream are carried out. Preparations for flood periods and monitoring of the quality of wastewater and natural water treatment are also carried out.

– Strict compliance with requirements for the protection of natural resources is an integral component for maintaining environmental balance. To monitor soils in mountainous areas, quantitative chemical analysis, biotesting and other microbiological and parasitological studies are carried out. Kuzbasskaya Fuel Company closely cooperates with specialized licensed enterprises to implement the monitoring program for waste disposal facilities – waste disposal facilities, – comments Nadezhda Sergeeva, ecologist of the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company.

Throughout the year, the Vinogradovsky open-pit mine of the Kuzbasskaya Toplivnaya Company carries out measurements at the border of the sanitary protection zone and studies of industrial emissions from stationary sources into the atmosphere. Maintenance and cleaning of dust collection units is provided.
